Overview

MD Acumen’s PLAB & MLA programme supports candidates preparing for UK entry assessments through structured teaching, deliberate practice, and clinically grounded feedback. The programme is educational in nature, independent, and delivered with explicit professional boundaries.

Course Structure

The programme combines online learning with focused in-person clinical skills training, designed to fit around candidate schedules while preserving high-quality feedback and governance.

Twice-Monthly Virtual Teaching

Live, structured sessions focused on applied knowledge, UK clinical reasoning, and exam technique.

Custom Practice Question Bank

Progressive practice materials supporting staged development from Level 1 (entry) through more advanced applied reasoning.

Expert Recorded Tutorials

Curated topic tutorials and exam-focused explanations to consolidate learning between live sessions.

Learning Model

The programme follows a staged mastery approach designed to build confidence and competence progressively, while supporting safe practice standards and professionalism aligned to UK expectations.

  • Level 1: Core applied knowledge aligned to PLAB/MLA entry expectations.
  • Level 2: Enhanced integration of clinical reasoning and management planning.
  • Level 3: Extended applied professionalism and advanced insight for high-level progression.

Quality assurance: Any AI-assisted educational content is reviewed and validated by senior GMC-registered clinicians before release.

PLAB 2 Intensive

A structured five-day immersive intensive course designed to prepare candidates for the communication, professionalism, and applied clinical elements of PLAB 2 through simulated practice and feedback-led improvement.
