For UK GP teaching surgeries

Host a structured observership

UK General Practitioner teaching surgeries hosting placements for international medical schools, IMGs, or incoming undergraduates. MD Acumen provides the curriculum, governance scaffold, and observership-log instrument.

For international medical schools

Commission a placement cohort

European, Middle Eastern, and Asian medical schools commissioning structured UK primary-care observership placements for their students as part of an exchange or elective programme.

For IMGs

International Medical Graduates

Qualified medical graduates from non-UK jurisdictions seeking pre-employment UK primary-care exposure ahead of GMC registration or NHS application.

Curriculum

Observership curriculum

The structured curriculum each Observership placement follows — competency domains, learning outcomes, the observership log, and the end-of-placement reflective report.

Status. The Observership programme is in active development. Pilot placements are scheduled through 2026–27. Programme details, placement-fee structure, and the host-surgery onboarding pathway will be confirmed as the pilot completes. The two 2026 cohort windows are July 2026 and November 2026, with 48 seats per cohort split across Hertfordshire (Rickmansworth / Watford) and Mid & East Essex.
