About

Our Mission

Reinventing postgraduate primary care education for the SGLT2-GLP-1-HRT era. Founder-led, NHS-grounded, agentic-AI-augmented.

The thesis

One Knowledge Institute, three reinforcing forces

MD Acumen exists to bring three things together: the credentialled clinical authority of a practising Professor of Primary Care; the agentic-AI capabilities now reshaping clinical learning; and accredited postgraduate education in the cardiometabolic, menopause/andropause and longevity disease cluster — the areas where UK primary care is increasingly expected to deliver more, and where structured extended-skills training is most needed.

No UK provider currently combines all three. The dominant postgraduate primary care diplomas are university-led, faculty-rotation, single-disease, traditional in pedagogy, and slow to current. The emerging AI medical-education products are generic and uncredentialled. The leading boutique clinical brands carry founder authority but no formal academic accreditation. MD Acumen exists to occupy the intersection — and to do so to a professional standard worthy of every regulator, every Royal College, every university partner, and every clinician who chooses to learn with us.

The Acumen difference

Three converging forces

Each force is operated by other actors in isolation. The combination is what is distinctive.

NHS-grounded

Real-world UK community DCRM clinical service feeds anonymised vignettes, audit data, and publication-grade outcomes into every Academy module, every Library article, and every educational resource.

Operating principles

How we work

The standards we hold ourselves to, set out plainly so that delegates, partners and regulators can hold us to them.

1

Academic register, throughout

Plain, formal, professional language. No consumer-wellness framing. No promotional rhetoric. The voice of a teaching department.

2

Evidence-led and current

Every clinical claim is sourced to a current guideline (NICE, ESC, ADA-EASD, KDIGO, BMS, BSSM, BMJ Best Practice). Every educational module carries a date-stamped review marker. Stale content is flagged and re-reviewed every 90 days.

3

MHRA boundary-disciplined

Our HCP-facing educational tools sit deliberately outside the Software-as-a-Medical-Device boundary. We do not host patient-specific calculators, personalised treatment recommenders, or symptom checkers. We retrieve, present and compare guideline content as an expert reference — not a diagnostic engine.

4

ABPI Code 2024 compliant

Where pharmaceutical industry sponsorship supports educational content, the relationship is structured as an unrestricted educational grant with mandatory disclosure on every funded module, full editorial independence, and a public Sponsor Disclosure Register.

5

Accessible across desktop, tablet and phone

Every page is mobile-first responsive and meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. No content is gated behind unnecessary friction. Tap targets, contrast, and reading order are tested across iPad and phone before any page is published.

Accreditation

The accreditation portfolio in pursuit

MD Acumen is in formal accreditation discussion with multiple UK and international bodies. We name the bodies we are pursuing rather than claiming credentials prematurely.

UK accrediting bodies

Royal College of General Practitioners CPD Provider Scheme · Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians UK · NHSE Primary Care Training Hub · GP Specialty School (East of England) · candidate UK university partner for postgraduate co-badging.

International accrediting bodies

UEMS European Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) · New Vision University Tbilisi · East-West University Baku · candidate medical schools in Turkey, the UAE and Saudi Arabia for observership and PG Diploma cross-enrolment.

Honest positioning. Where accreditation conversations are open but a credential has not yet been awarded, we say so on the relevant programme page. We do not display badges that have not been earned.

Get in touch

Whether you are a clinician building extended-skills competence, a medical school exploring observership or co-badging, an ICB Training Hub looking for partnership, or a pharmaceutical sponsor considering an educational grant — we welcome conversation.
