The standard we work to
MD Acumen Ltd wants everyone who studies with us to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We design and check our pages so that you should be able to:
Where we know the site falls short
We know some parts of the site are not yet fully accessible:
| Issue | What we are doing |
|---|---|
| Some diagrams, timelines and figures convey information visually and may not have a full text equivalent. | Adding text descriptions as each page is reviewed. Ask us for a text version of any figure. |
| Some downloadable documents (PDFs) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. | Providing accessible versions on request, and checking new documents before publication. |
| Embedded and linked third-party services — the booking calendar (Squarespace Scheduling and Acuity Scheduling), Google Forms practice logs and Zoom — are controlled by their providers, not by us. | If you cannot use one of them, email us and we will book you in, take your practice-log entry, or arrange access another way. |
| Parts of the website template provided by our host, Squarespace, such as the site navigation and cookie banner, are outside our direct control. | Reporting issues to Squarespace and adjusting our settings where we can. |
| Recorded or live teaching may not always have accurate captions. | Using automatic captions in live classes where available, and providing transcripts or notes on request. |
This statement is based on our own checks against WCAG 2.2 AA during page building, including testing at phone and desktop widths. The site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
How to ask for information in another format
If you need any page, document or course material in a different format — for example large print, an accessible PDF or Word document, plain text, a text description of a figure, or a transcript — email enquiry@mdacumen.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Tell us which page or material you need, the format you would like, and how best to reach you.
We will acknowledge your request within 5 working days and aim to provide the alternative format within 10 working days. If a request will take longer, we will tell you when to expect it.
Adjustments on courses and placements
If you have a disability or long-term condition and need an adjustment to take part in a live class, course, assessment or observership, please tell us as early as you can. We will discuss what you need and, where relevant, work with your host surgery or partner university to put reasonable adjustments in place, as the Equality Act 2010 requires.
Reporting a problem
If you find a part of the site you cannot use, or think we are not meeting the standard above, please tell us at enquiry@mdacumen.com. If you are not happy with our response, you can use our Complaints procedure.
